Career Explorations in Natural Resources: Soils and Water and Forests, Oh My!

For Tartan High School rising juniors and seniors

Did you know that there are many natural resource career opportunities you can pursue that will allow you to take an active role in conserving resources, supporting healthy ecosystems, enhancing biodiversity, and mitigating climate change? Interested in learning more?  The Washington Conservation District in partnership with local watershed districts will be hosting a summer career explorations opportunity where you will learn about the careers and have the opportunity to participate in field experiences with natural resource professionals. Lunch and transportation to the field sites will be provided.  The dates for the career explorations include:

-  Week One: June 9-10, 9:00 am – 3:00 pm,

-  Week Two: June 16-19, 9:00 am – 3:00 pm, and

-  Week Three: June 23-25, 9:00 am – 3:00 pm (you must attend all 9 days).

Applications will be reviewed, and the next phase will involve interviews to be conducted March 24-28, 2025 (after school).
