Red Oak (Quercus rubra)
A deciduous tree with a medium growth rate and reaches a mature height of 60-80 ft. This tree prefers full sun and moist, well-drained sandy loam to clay soil, makes an excellent shade tree, has oblong acorns, has a brownish/red fall color, provides food for wildlife, and is tolerant of urban pollution. This tree is also known as Northern Red Oak. Sold in a bundle of 25 bare root seedlings, 12-18" tall.
This item will be shipped to the Washington County Fairgrounds, not to your address. Trees must be picked up on either April 26th or 27th at the fairgrounds. You will receive a postcard with detailed information about pick up in the spring and it will be updated on the website as well.
