A small tree or multi-stemmed shrub with a medium growth rate and reaches a mature height of 8-15 ft. This small tree or shrub prefers full sun but can tolerate shade and grows in moist, well drained soils in uplands and lowlands, has white flowers in early spring, edible bright red berries, good for jams and jellies, that persist thru winter, and is an important food source for over-wintering birds. Sold in a bundle of 25 bare root seedlings, 12-18" tall.
