In the meantime, please join us for a live webinar on April 7th at 6 pm. Minnesota is where Great Lakes meets Great Plains. We have more shoreline than California, more boats per capita than any other state, and at least 450 species of bees. But water quality and bee populations are both threatened by the development of natural areas into buildings, parking lots, and lawns. Your yard can help protect our pollinators and so many other natural resources.

By introducing native plants to your yard, you provide precious habitat for our struggling pollinators while also reducing the amount of water that runs off your property and into the local body of water. Their beautiful blossoms share delicious, nutritious pollen and nectar with bees and butterflies, while their roots grow deep into the soil, channeling and filtering stormwater while also storing carbon and reaching water and nutrients.

At our workshop you will learn how to design and install a pollinator project, which plants are best for bumble bees and other pollinators, how to support pollinators year round, and learn about funding opportunities to help make this possible in your own back yard! There is no cost to attend, but please register in advance at: http://bit.ly/planting4pollinators-woodbury
