Join WCD, City of Woodbury and South Washington Watershed District to help spread seeds for a 30-acre habitat restoration project at Hasenbank Woods - a new park in Woodbury, just east of Powers Lake. Register at Hasenbank Park Project | Woodbury, MN (woodburymn.gov)
Volunteers will be working in teams, spreading woodland and savanna grass seed to start building soils and bring diversity back to the woodland. We will scatter seed for an hour or so. The terrain is rough but mostly flat with lots of stumps and branches. Volunteers should wear long pants and rugged footwear.
Volunteers should meet near the corner of St. Johns Drive and Water Lily Lane (look for the tent). Street parking is limited, so consider walking to the event if you live in the area.
