Celebrate five years of hard work and habitat restoration at Crestview Elementary School Forest! Volunteers will plant shrubs and trees in a restoration project at Crestview Elementary in partnership with South Washington Watershed District and Great River Greening. We would love to see upwards of 100 volunteers to join this planting, including families from the school. The oak savanna we are working to restore will benefit the children of Crestview Elementary, to be used as an outdoor classroom!
Additional activities may include: the installation of tree tubes/fencing, mulching, and watering of the newly planted species.
Look for additional details in the pre-event communications that will be sent out in the weeks leading up to this event.
We will have light snacks and extra water available, however, please bring your own reusable water bottle and any additional snacks or lunch items you may need. There will be a portable sanitation unit on site.
