2018 St. Croix Summit

This year marks the 50th anniversary of the Wild and Scenic River Act and the birth of the country’s first wild and scenic river national park – the St. Croix National Scenic Riverway.

As we look towards the next 50 years, who will be there to protect it?

Discover how climate and land use changes are affecting the environment and communities within the St. Croix watershed and empower youth to take action towards ensuring a resilient future for us all.

The 2018 St. Croix Summit starts off with a half day of inspiring speakers followed by an afternoon workshop for high school and college students hosted by Climate Generation.

Highlights Include:

  • Dr. Satish Desai – President of March for Science Minnesota
  • Dr. Charles Rader – Professor, University of Wisconsin-River Falls Dept. of Geography and Geographic Information Science
  • Dr. James Almendinger – Director of the Science Museum of Minnesota St. Croix Watershed Research Station
  • Dr. Matthew Mitro – Coldater Fisheries Research Scientist, Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources
  • Student workshops by Climate Generation: A Will Steger Legacy

Registration Information:

The 2018 St. Croix Summit is a half day conference for resource professionals and students, followed by a workshop specifically for students to learn how they can take action to protect our changing environment.

General admission is $25 for a half day filled with inspiring speakers, adjouring at noon. Lunch not included.

The full day conference for students, including all speakers and afternoon student workshop is free for high school and college studentsLunch is on your own. You may bring a bag lunch or purchase lunch from University dining options. More information HERE
