Healthy Lawns Workshop
Simple solutions for busy people who want a beautiful yard
Hugo, MN – You want a beautiful lawn that is safe for your kids and pets, but you’re busy. We all want healthy landscapes that support pollinators, birds and wildlife; protect lakes, streams and rivers; and enough groundwater for us and future generations. Why not have it all?
Join the City of Hugo, the Rice Creek Watershed District, and the East Metro Water Resource Education Program for a free evening workshop devoted to lawn care. Learn how to care for your lawn while keeping children, pets and wildlife safe and protecting our local water resources. Visit with water resource educators and local Master Gardeners for tips on growing a healthy lawn, and engage in a presentation that will help you decipher what approach to lawn care fits your lifestyle best.
To begin, experts will provide free, easy-to-implement solutions to your yard care woes that will save you time and money. Then we will share low-cost, low effort actions you can take to get the most out of your lawn that also protects your family, pets, and favorite swimming hole. Finally, we’ll offer simple tips that will enable you to transform your yard into an oasis, with strategies that will add beauty, pollinator habitat, and privacy.
What’s more – we are welcoming you to bring your kids, who will be lovingly entertained by two water resource educators who are also moms of small children. We hope you can join us! RSVP recommended, not required.
